Google Calendar Sync

Sync SteepleOS events with Google Calendar via OAuth.

Connecting Google Calendar

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar.
  2. Click Connect Google Account. You will be redirected to Google's OAuth consent screen.
  3. Grant SteepleOS permission to read and write calendar events.
  4. Select which Google Calendar to sync with (primary or a specific named calendar).

How Syncing Works

  • SteepleOS to Google: When you create or update an event in SteepleOS, it automatically appears on your connected Google Calendar within a few minutes.
  • Google to SteepleOS: Events created directly in Google Calendar are pulled into the SteepleOS calendar on a 15-minute sync cycle.
  • Deletions sync both ways. Canceling an event in either system removes it from the other.

Troubleshooting Sync Issues

  • Events not appearing: Check that the correct calendar is selected in Settings. Events only sync to the one calendar you specified.
  • Duplicate events: If you see duplicates, disable sync, delete the duplicates in Google Calendar, and re-enable sync.
  • Permission errors: Revoke and re-grant access under Settings > Integrations > Google Calendar > Reconnect.
  • Sync runs every 15 minutes. Brand-new events may take up to 15 minutes to appear on the other platform.
