Your First Week Checklist

A step-by-step guide to getting fully operational in your first seven days.

Day 1: Branding & Identity

  1. Upload your church logo under Settings > General. Recommended size is 512x512 PNG with a transparent background.
  2. Set your primary color theme so that all member-facing pages match your branding.
  3. Configure your timezone and default service times.

Day 2-3: Build Your Team

  1. Invite your core staff under Admin → Team. When you invite someone, pick the role that fits what they do (for example Admin, Finance Manager, Care Leader, or Staff) — each role only unlocks the areas that person needs.
  2. Have each team member log in and complete their profile so the directory looks populated from day one.

Day 4-5: Create Your First Event

  1. Go to Events > New Event and create your upcoming Sunday service.
  2. Enable check-in if you plan to track attendance.
  3. Add any recurring schedule (weekly, bi-weekly) so future services auto-generate.

Day 6-7: Send Your First Communication

  1. Navigate to Communications > New Broadcast.
  2. Draft a welcome message announcing SteepleOS to your congregation.
  3. Preview the email, then schedule it or send immediately.
  4. Verify delivery by checking the send report under Communications > History.
