Email & SMS Communications

Sending a Broadcast

1. Go to Communications > New Broadcast.
2. Select your audience: all members, a specific group, or a filtered segment (e.g., all visitors from the last 30 days).
3. Compose your message using the rich-text editor. You can insert merge fields like {{firstName}} for personalization.
4. Preview the message, then choose Send Now or Schedule for a future date and time.

Email Templates

Save time by creating reusable templates under Communications > Templates. Common templates include:

• Weekly newsletter
• Event reminders
• New visitor follow-up
• Giving thank-you receipts

SMS Setup with Twilio

To enable SMS messaging:

1. Create a Twilio account and purchase a phone number with SMS capability.
2. In SteepleOS, go to Settings > SMS and enter your Twilio Account SID, Auth Token, and phone number.
3. Once configured, you can send SMS broadcasts alongside email or as standalone messages.
4. SMS messages are limited to 160 characters per segment. Longer messages will be split automatically.

Delivery Reports

After sending, check Communications > History to see open rates, click rates, and any bounced addresses.
